Summer is here, and it's finally time to take your senior portraits! Your senior pictures are the perfect time for you to show off your individuality and your keen sense of fashion. Here are some of Dwyer Photography's favorites in senior wear for the 2014 senior season.

For Women:

Statement jewelry is really in right now, espeically bubble necklaces. These necklaces can take a plain shirt and bump it up from plain to perfect. Black, white, and navy are always good choices, but don't be afraid to pair bright colors!

The color of the year is GREEN! Kelly greens and emerald greens are going to be espeically popular this fashion season. Pair a green scarf with a black or white garment, or maybe even commit to a green clothing piece, like the skirt below!

Speaking of the skirt above, maxi skirts and dresses are HUGE right now! They are extremely comfortable and can be dressed up or down, depending on the vibe you are looking to get out of the photo.

A variation on the maxi skirt is the high-low skirt. These skirts are a bit cooler (temperature-wise!) than the maxi skirt and allow you to show off some funky flats or killer pumps!

Another must-have accessory is the chambray shirt. It is a light denim button-up that adds to every outfit. It can be worn in various ways and is totally in style right now.

Finally, blazers are great way to look classy in your senior portraits. Blazers can also be dressed up or down based on the jewelry and other clothing items you pair with it. Here a just a few examples of cute ways to wear your blazer!

For Men:

Denim is in for men, too! Men's chambray shirts create a casual and stylish look.

Statement shoes are always a good choice for men's senior photos. Bright or unique shoes can create a fun focal point in the photo.

Sweaters are a fabulous way to achieve a classy, mature look without having to wear a suit jacket. There are so many different looks you can achieve with a sweater by layering. Wearing a sweater for your senior photos will create a timeless look for years to come.

T-shirts with a front pocket have been around for a while, but are just gaining popularity. These tees are casual and look great paired with denim or khaki bottoms.

The most important aspect of a senior photo shoot is to get pictures that will be treasured for a lifetime. Don't forget to bring your jerseys, band instruments, dance costumes, and other sports gear. Prom dresses are always good for ladies as well! Here at Dwyer Photography, we will work with you to get the best senior pictures possible.
